Editor's Message

Abstract

It is my pleasure to introduce the volume 19 of our ISHWM journal.

In this issue, we are delighted to present an array of thought-provoking articles and short communications that contribute to our mission of enhancing the safety and sustainability of healthcare waste management practices.
A highlight of this volume is the original research article that delves into the cost analysis of two prominent technologies, microwaves, and autoclaves, for managing healthcare waste. Our commitment to knowledge exchange extends beyond the traditional, as we are pleased to share short communications that discuss a variety of essential topics. These include strengthening hub hospitals in the Kathmandu Valley, zero-waste models for sustainable healthcare systems, the establishment of global green and healthy hospital networks, and innovative solutions for safe and sustainable hospital waste management systems.
