Patna Journal of Medicine is an official Journal of Indian Medical Association, Bihar State chapter. PJM is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access quarterly journal currently running Volume 98 (2024). The Journal has decided to go online from 2024 onwards. The journal publishes original articles, reviews, case reports, case series, systematic reviews, meta-analysis, and letters to editor.

The journal conforms to the guidelines of COPE. The journal allows free access to its contents and does not charge any article submission, processing, or publication fee.
