Abstract

With immense pleasure, we bring out this issue aimed at enhancing knowledge, sharing, and learning. The issue highlights the hidden challenges in complex wound management faced by the plastic surgeons. We are pleased to introduce various impactful original studies like facial wound coverage using split skin graft from the scalp, scalp wound, random vs axial pattern outcomes local fasciocutaneous flap for tendoachilles region defects, changing pattern of burns in a private hospital.


Further this issue has an interesting review article on mechanotransduction of wound healing, along with case reports on radiation and wound healing, management of complex lower limb burn wound, reconstruction of sacral pressure sore in patients with superior gluteal artery perforator flap, salvaging complicated leg wound along with an engaging pictorial essay on various presentation, evaluation and management of fingertip injuries.
