Abstract

Intraosseous lipoma is a benign and a rare lesion that represents no more than 0.1% of all bone tumors. Majority of the lesions are seen in bones of lower limbs and are incidentally discovered. They appear radiologically as radiolucent lesions. Histologically, they consist of mature adipose tissue associated with variable degrees of necrotic fat and calcification. In this report, we describe a case of intraosseous lipoma in the ischium of a 25-year-old female who presented with vague pain in the pelvic region for the past three months.
